Ahmed Lachhab

Lachhab teaches Ecosystems, Water Resources, Environmental Hazards, Environmental Pollution and Control, Groundwater Hydrology and Geophysics. He is involved in projects involving groundwater modeling, abandoned mine drainage, stream analysis and hydrology, and the interaction of surface water with groundwater. As his primary research, Lachhab works in small-scale laboratory column to investigate particle tracking using Match-index-refraction porous materials.

One of his recent works was recently published in Ground Water Journal: “Particle Tracking Experiments in Match-Index-Refraction Porous Media.” Lachhab has recently presented with students in American Geophysical Union, The Geological Society of America, Pennsylvania Academy of Science, The National Conference on Undergraduate Research and several local symposiums.

He is currently working with his students on projects examining stream water analysis, mine drainage discharge and metal loading, and a modeling of wetland hydrology.
